Mike and Marsha Harwood live & minister in Western NC's poorest area, Graham County.
Marsha serves the county's at risk women, children and teen girls (some pregnant) through teaching, counseling, evangelism and mentoring.
She is recognized as a volunteer child/family advocate in the school system and with the NC Department of Juvenile Justice, the Department of Social Services, Appalachian Services, Cherokee Family Services and the Benita Jumper Women's Crisis Center.
Mike is recognized as a fiancial counselor. He assists families and individuals in the area of budgeting and money management by utilizing Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.
Mike serves on the board of another nonprofit in the county, GREAT (Graham Revitalization Economic Action Team). Their goals are in the area of economic development for our county. He's also an active member of Graham Help, a local nonprofit that gives emergency financial assistance to families in need.
